FACILITY & BOARD CERTIFIED M.D. ANESTHESIOLOGIST:
Dr. Semlacher utilizes the Mercy San Juan Medical Center affiliated surgery center exclusively for his cosmetic procedures. The Surgery center is governed and regulated by the hospital and is mandated to deliver the same high standards found in M.S.J.M.C. operating rooms. These high standards of care ensure the utmost patient safety. Mercy San Juan Medical Center has been re-certified by JACHO in 2010.
All anesthetics are provided by Board Certified M.D. Anesthesiologists. These individuals are fully trained medical doctors who have done further training (4-5 years beyond medical school) in the subspecialty of anesthesia. They have also undergone the difficult process of certification. A M.D. anesthesiologist is fully experienced and trained in the specialty of general anesthesia . These specialists administer anesthetics for open heart surgery one day and the next give the anesthetic for a cosmetic procedure. Their expertise frees up the plastic surgeon to focus on the task at hand, giving you the best surgical result possible. Dr. Semlacher strongly feels that this extra cost is worth the assurance of a safe, positive surgical experience and result.
